Good evening
I would like to ask who is more experienced than me, what do you think of the news of sw 2011.
doesn't it look like a pretty cool release of important news?
Maybe a version of a trap?
:4410:

Hello marcof
You do well to laugh, but it doesn't seem to me that such important changes have been made, such as in 2010.
Will they wait seven?

I think the scaramanti "sgratting" was related to trap.. You know, like to believe there's always time:smile:

then who and what should<aspettare seven="">>?
if you refer to win7 is now around and tested for over a year.. What's to wait for?

would you signal where you got the 2011 news?

greetings
Marco:smile:</aspettare>

until the official release there may be variations, but frankly the news of 2011 at the moment I do not know anything. Have you read the what's new of the beta?

tested the beta, not solved the problem, bug, multibody sheets.
I don't think we'll renew the three licenses this year.

Bye to all,
I took a pretty thorough look at the pdf of beta 2011.

for the type of work that takes place in my office (plants and machinery) I wanted to deepen with the ns var themes of pipe/isometrici/p&id and carpenters with profiles of commerce.

is not gold suit that shown: the pipe with a fantomatic "partner" is in development and info turn really few.
[vado in ot.]On the other hand I am organizing with colleagues a series of visits with the various had/intergraph/bentley to assess how to integrate the stacking part in our pdm.
while recognizing to those who propose solutions for plants (products for large plants) so far no managed to find something for skid or package ( decidedly more affordable) that do to my case.

I am evaluating the solution proposed by smap3d iso.works + steelworks
p&id + environment 3d + iso
that should give me a good balance.

Opinions are accepted

Thank you.

Hello, dancer,

which pdm currently use?

greetings
Hello, Ozzy.
as he talked about it in some threads on the pdm in my company there is no "true" pdm and we are (now I can say we were) choosing.

the decisions at corporate level made propendere for siemens but the implementation has long calendars and margin of comment.

In any case, for plants like ours, specific products obligate to get rid of the pdm for cad and directly embrace the sap/erp platforms at the apex of the pyramid.
now the cost-benefit recommends us to continue with the evaluations.

Unfortunately I missed it.. :-)

I still think I understand the current situation.
if you are not bound to a plm because more than a pdm serves that, then you have wide margin of manoeuvre.
clearly depends also on the type of erp in use, but excluding this topic, I asked you so only to know if you had it, but basically considering your problem for p&id, isometrics through isogen standard in skid and package I wanted to ask you if you have ever seen the ptc suite that for this kind of work is really performing, less for the big plants instead.
supports class, schedule, driven by specifics or not and is bidirectional associative with p&id, clearly if implemented with an even better plm.

Have you already got steelworks? I asked (and had) a demo and I was well impressed by the modeling, but there are several points that do not convince me in that product. they promise it's all right.... but they have to sell it and they have to say it. Maybe if we go too much or open a new thread.
