hello to all, the company for which work produces industrial furnaces for aluminum, so often and willingly I find myself drawing with the generator of frames.
if when modeling the frame (by attaching the profiles to sketches) I use the command "inside" or "right angle" without first having extended or trimmed my profiles with the cut/extended command, the program does not update my size separately.
if I make a table of the individual profiles and quot the measure is correct, there is any scan or stretched the profile until it cut to degrees with its consecutive, but the separate measure remains that of the sketch segment I used to generate the frame.
the only solution I found is to bring the profile first to measure with the crop/extended command and then execute the other commands.
Is there any other way faster and less laborious?

Bye-bye

He does it to me too.
and if memory does not deceive me is a problem that gave us 2012; 2011 did not.. .
Who knows what will combine 2013:cool:

attention that the value (function) of the cutting length of the various components elements is not b_l as usual but g_l, this is seen in the custom iproperties-> tab. the b_l value is the length of the component resulting from your sketch, so if you run cut extensions or other is no longer correct. said this you have to set your separate components with the g_l value. to me everything works perfectly, the only problem you could find with frames made with old inventor relics so little manageable with the new version.

2011 to me he did it only with carving while with right angle no.

ok as soon as I have a moment of time I try, if it works I pass the information to my colleagues who satnno drawing carpenters right these days and have to cut the profiles from third parties.
thank you very much for the info
Hi.

It seems to me that there is a dedicated hotfix for this problem, it happened to me too...my advice is to check on the site the actual installation of updates. :mixed:

Okay, thank you.
I see, though,
"the hot fix is included in the sp1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
so, installing the sp1 the problem doesn’t happen anymore. "

I still tried to install the hotfix even if the sp1 is already present but it stuck in half the installation, almost certainly because there is already... so point and end, the problem I keep it... or I do as he says, even if I don't know how to do it...

Hello, for the 2020 version where I go to set the g_l valore?
