keyboard commands in catia v5

greeting everyone in the area. I am trying to configure some keyboard commands in v5 cat so as to simulate what I normally perform in other environments such as s.e. and inventor. in particular I need to move to the iso view with the ctrl+i keyboard combination, to the front view with ctrl+f, to the top view with ctrl+t and so on. I would also like to switch from one display mode to another (from wireframe to shading and reverse) by pressing a single key (in inventor I use j and k keys). Unfortunately, these commands are not mapping on the keyboard but can only be attributed an alias. I was wondering if there is a possibility to intervene on some registry key or other settling to unlock these and other commands that speed me a lot if activated by keyboard through shortcuts.
I don't hide that I would also like a keyboard command that zooms me from a mouse wheel without having to buy a mouse 5 keys or 3d. the current pan, zoom and rotate combinations are impractical from central and dx key, already better with central key and keyboard but zooming with the central key pressed, taped on the dx key and mouse back makes thinking about software designers with alcoholic problems. that you can do to improve the thing without accessories, i.e. staying at the minimum mouse+key? thanks early.

hello and thank you, at the moment I do not use those commands but your indication is still useful considering my apprentice status. I found the way to encoder from keyboard commands that apparently do not allow it. I create a new toolbar where I insert the commands that interest me. if these commands do not have a default icon they select one in the collection (placed in bulk and having to scroll hundreds of pages) that the program offers, there are many and one that serves is always found. at this point I return to the assignment of shortcuts and now the customization box for these commands is accessible. being quite engaged the ctrl I opted for the alt+ key letter. It works great though with the problem that if I go out and return I remain the toolbar open but do not go the shortcuts. I tried, without even knowing what it means, to create my own workbench. in fact they change things but in a way that I can't control not knowing how workbench works. small steps...

Let's say I solved. I have not yet studied the workbench, however I have a my workbench profile that loads me the custom menu bar with all the shortcuts I needed. I do everything with alt+lettra. You just need to remember that special characters should not be typed by keyboard but selected by buttons. that at every change you have to go out and return to the program.

later I customize the management of the files (I will take a look at the jpeg present in the tread).

Now I feel a lot about the lack of the orthogonal bond in the sketcher, in addition to the fact that selecting the point of origin is a drama because the terna d'assi covers it to me.

select points in general is painful, you need frequent zommates. I have to activate the point filter or the navigator (which then needs to be disabled because it is annoying).

then the fateful axis z, any sketch proposes to me the other two axes, to have the axis z always touches that the drawings.

I forgot for the zoom: alt+x and I zoom in\reduce moving the mouse. apparently destroyed but in reality it is much easier than the double-click stretching (absurd) that could be exitably resueled with a special mouse (which I want to avoid).

regarding the selection of the zero point or z axis, did you try to create a basic catpart with inside already a axle terna? It's a lot of boredom.

to zoom with the mous wheel properly configured, go that it is a beauty.

if you force ships or spaceships into the basic model created a block with the approximate size of the most used object. then delete everything and finally save the vacuum base model.

That's how we did it in the watch industry. to avoid making 50,000 reductions we created a small cube 5 mm, erased everything and saved the base file.

each one catpart is opened by the basic model.
in the basic model we also added rules, axles terna, publications etc.

It seemed to me to understand that on the central wheel I only have the possibility to have the simulation of the central key to the click, but not zoom it by scrolling. I still have to spend a little more time to understand. I disabled from options any displacement of the above, getting only that I do not go around the screen but move like the chess tower placed to sx.
I have attributed to the side clicks of the wheel keystrokes that make pan, rotate and zoom. but with very pyrotechnic results and little technical.
In short, I realized that I absolutely need the zoom (or better to zoom/reduce) from the wheel.
Do I have to change my mouse or have I lost something?

install the setpoint driver and configure the wheel as I did (central key).
the 'sbeam' to dx and sx I configured them also as a central key otherwise I had problems with zoom in catia v5.

so I have no problem with catia v5

Thank you, a step further. I have the same panel of settings, but lacks the section relative to the wheel (the last icon of those posts to sx) and trying the break in emulation central key still does not go. after you try them all I deduce that the obstacle is the mouse, penalized in customization by choice of the manufacturer (price drop).
the good news is that with your logitech corded mouse m500, set as carry, the zoom works. That bueno. Hay que comprarlo.

I have version 4.80.103 and driver version 4.82.11.

Thanks for the advice.
I uploaded the latest version of the drivers, 6.51, but it doesn't change.

I noticed instead that even the aesthetics of the panel is now aligned to the 'cheap profile', removing here and there some settaggio.

I eventually bought a corded mouse m500 logitech. :smile:

installed panel 6.51, has two different menus compared to what you put in the photo.
For example, I don't have the one with the wheel icon.
a menu serves to diversify the settings depending on the software you are using instead of applying the same basic setting to all applications.

I tried in all sauces: There's no way to have the wheel zoom, and at this point I think there's a misunderstanding.

explain to me in more precise terms what you had to set to have the zoom in the cat and what do you mean by zoom?
refer to the 'look' command, 'enlarge/reduce', to what?

I said this however I used the extra keys of the mouse to try to remove some problem, the 3rd key is 'suitable to the screen' and the 4th is 'look' that is to pull the box for enlargement.

4 - is dimensioned for a greater hand than mine (my is average, their will be 'absolute') and therefore I am somewhat uncomfortable.

5 - buttons 3 and 4 are too high, perfect instead of those of an old microsoft I have.

6 - in the instructions I discover with horror that the Spanish is missing, and yes that the mouse sent me amazon.es
in the instructions the Italian is placed almost last, after an infinity of idioms of the east: all this is typically Swiss.

given point (6) I decided that I will probably no longer buy a logitech product. I got tired.

I managed, I just miss the zoom by pulling the wheel, that is, turning it around with my finger. but you can't do it. however the result obtained is already more than good. in combination with the left hand on the keyboard I do everything I need. if I haven't already, thank you for the advice and availability. :finger:
