I tried to propose a 15.6 but this person said to prefer the compactness and the low weight... also because in the office it connects it to a larger monitor for which the work is not penalized.

Actually, I wouldn't worry too much about the processor, what matters is the power on a single core and for that the benchmarks are good. for how the video card behaves is not only a matter of power but also how the drivers are optimized; for this a direct experience is worth more than a thousand numbers.

I have a zbook firefly 14 g8 for a couple of years, okay, but the 14" for me became a problem and I just took the 16 g10 of the same series. If you go on intel I suggest you take an i5 of thirteenth generation, like an i5-1335. has a very affordable price-performance ratio, from the gen 12 the intels are very strong on the single process and is what it serves for the cad.
These hp firefly are valid, small, light, of excellent quality. performance is good but not extreme and there is, because they are voted to transport. a month ago, on ebay I had found a firefily 14 g9 (with intel of twelfth gen) to 950 new euros.
when I work out of place and connect to my fixed workstation (remote adhesive, then minimal use of cpu and gpu) the battery does the whole day. to recharge them have a small usb-c power supply from 65 w.
I got my last one on eprice, found it at a very affordable price.

I see that these firefly have a p620 frame gpu: according to you it is necessary also for cad 2d or could I settle for a laptop with i5 or i7 of 13th generation and integrated card?
 
Good morning to all, I add to others in recommending the small ws hp zbook firefly 14 g10 to version with ryzen 7 pro 7840hs and amd 780m and 32gb of ram and 1tb of ssd.
I got to test it with specvieperf 20 and make a comparison between the integrated 780m and the picture of the intel version...
personally not known all is difference between the 780m and the picture.
for me remains a great purchase.

Unlike you I have always had snots with amd products and I don't take any more. I recently let myself be tempted by a pc to use office (of the wife) and I have graphic problems with office that with another pc intel always with win11 and the same version of office I do not have. It is fast and does not heat, but it makes me roam with the graphics.
in the past I had 2 workstations and with both I had problems: the first hardware type and the second with the drivers that after 4 years were no longer found. after three out of three gone wrong, at my house amd closed.
my firefly 14 g8 has an intel i7-1185 - 32 gb - 1tb and the picture (it seems 500), while the 16 g10 has an intel i7-1355 32 gb - 1 tb - picture a500.
