Hello everyone
for work reasons I can not use caelinux with dualboot so I use it on a virtual machine, having to use a windows system. until yesterday I had the virtual machine running on vmware player, downloaded directly from the caelinux site. but the graphic issue has always been very slow and snappy
now the 64-bit version is released. to use it I installed virtualbox, I created a virtual machine and installed caelinux 2009 64 bit
the real machine is a dualcore amd64 on which windows xp 32 turns, while the virtual machine mounts the 64-bit kernel (during the installation he realized he was on 32 bits and didn't leave, arming a little with the settings he left, so I don't know exactly what is emulated: There is a setting for which it is said that the guest system would be ubuntu64 and I imagine it is directed accordingly)
the question is: is the virtual machine really turning to 64 bit? or do you think you're 64 while actually 32? Does anyone have any idea how to verify it?
However I have to say that with this machine the graphics is clearly more fluid and allows a remarkable integration with the desktop of windows, to the point that salomè is almost as if it were an application of windows with so much of active clipboard in the two senses
