Good evening to all.....I just joined this forum because I have an urgent problem to solve.... .

I practically have a cartography that I need to make a road project for the university... only that almost half of the job I realized that this is in 3d(" I don't need to work on it, either because it's just a waste of time in this case, and both because we're working in group and only I can use the 3d")... andanto to check I saw that working according to the classic 2d method on a level curved plane in 3d I packed all values...so all I did went lost...:fro:
from unclear memories of a course of cad that I have done in the past, if I am not mistaken there is a function that allowed to bring everything up a single plan and then make it become all in 2d... I hope that what one can help me.... thank you

the command you are looking for is flatten, but you must have the expresstools installed.

If it can help you... setting the osnapz variable = 1 autocad holes to draw the new entities at 0.00 altitude even if "snap" to 3d objects.

peppe there are 3 ways

one is the flatten that indicated you gp, present only if you have autocad full (not lt to understand us) and you have installed the express tools

by keyboard write flatten and then select the objects you want to flatten.
wait (sometimes even a bit) and get the whole design crushed

the other is to search on the net the zeta.lsp file, load it in autocad (always if it is not lt) and throw it with zeta, the next is the same flatten

a 3rd barbaric (but effective) way is to insert your 3d design into another as a block. when inserting it specify the xyz option giving x=1, y=1 and z= 0.0000001

After insert the explode.
You lose all the polylines and zeta won't be zero, but it's more immediate than flatten and zeta. depends on the degree of accuracy you need and how long you can wait
