3d creation from plants in dwg

Hello to all of you,
often I am asked to make some drawing a little more photorealistic than the plants and sections in dwg, only that having never used the 3d is not exactly where to start.
In particular, I would like to make 3ds for a attic, which is mine, I would like to play a little with the colors and the furniture, only that I do not know how to proceed, in particular I seemed to understand that using archicad I could do first compared to autocad, is it right? ? ?
I have all the plants and sections in dwg format so as soon as I would like to proceed for the inside.. .
Come on, guys, I'll wait for your advice. on which software it is convenient to use and that import techniques from 2d to 3d..

I usually use autocad for plants and archicad for the 3d and then sections and prospects. I'm not very good at renderings.
Do you need to know how to pass files from one program to another or how to start just 3d?

the problem is that I never drew in 3d and so I don't know exactly where to start... how to pass on the plants or how to set the whole...
Some colleagues recommended me that being zero, I could learn directly on revit that is more performing. . .
