Good morning to all,

First of all I thank you all for the commitment you put in helping us to live better with modeling 3d.
in autocad 2018 I am making models and puts on the table, but the generated files agimente exceed 100mb. in the model there are very heavy objects that make the weight of the file rise. layouts are hardly less than thirty divided into 3 different layout types.
I would like to know if you can create 2 or more files where in one there is only the model and in others there are only the layouts with the active windows that refer to the separate model, being able to interact.
in this way the created files should be less heavy than the single.

Thank you.

Hi.

Michael

hello tristan, thank you for the answer. I tried but the reference fits it completely into layer 0. This way I can't manage the windows in the layouts where I have to turn on or off the different layers of the original model. is there any way to have the layers of the original model?

Thank you.

xref layers are there and are manageable as each layer. They're called <nome del="" xref="">| | | |<nome layer=""></nome></nome>. I use them from a lifetime and never had problems, neither in the model nor in the layouts
