Bye to all,
added: to own an enduro/road bike, to the craft of mechanical designer the result is: I design and I make accessories!

Now, I've done a lot of things by pulling them up manually, but for many others I would have in mind I would need the 3d Mathematics of the bike...

solutions: 3d scan or find it already made on the internet...

question: do you know where to find decent 3d models of various motorcycle models? I own a kawasaki versys 650 of 2010 (new model).
I also thought I'd scan it, but I wouldn't want to invest too much for a whim!
I imagine that companies like the givi that produces specific accessories we have 3d models, I don't know, I would really be comfortable for the points of attack and the encumbrance of the famines..... .

Thank you!

You're asking too much... 3d models of motorcycles, apart from something that you can find of older motorcycles, it is difficult if not impossible to have them, are protected projects and not discloseable.
the solutions you have already written, i.e. measures of maximum that you could find on the book, the rest if you need it you have to detect it in operation. for 3d scans I have no idea the costs, here on the forum I think there is maxopus and bazzica with these techniques.

really hard that you can find the 3d files of recent models (industrial secret), if not approximate (very approximate) and in mesh format (stl, wrml and obj).
to scan and model the aesthetic and aerodynamic parts of a motorcycle, you would spend much more than you spent buying it.
It is not so much the scan that costs, as it molds everything correctly.
Do you know how much a team puts in it to shape all the components of a motorcycle, excluding the engine?
15,000 hours of work, which means the work of 15 people for 6 months.
even assuming, but it is not true, that by doing a simple copying job you save 50% of the time, would still be out a respectable digit.
If you have so much money to spend we can talk about it:

you are right, I asked for scanning, for the cloud of points no problem, it is very fast, but then the reconstruction of the surfaces is crazy.. So I left the idea!
I will find other solutions less technological and much more handicraft... :

thank you all for the answers!

Hello everyone,
First of all I thank this forum to give me an opportunity hoping not to leave the oct : in case the moderator informs me.
I am looking for a student who wants to start a work adventure to develop forms in 3dmax / rendering type : cartoons, cars, motorcycles etc...
If someone was interested in learning more, let me know.
Thank you.
