hello to all, I press that I have been working on catia for relatively little and so on I clash against some wall that seems invariable but that somehow I can get over it. This time I am really inert in front of a trivial problem. I would like to model a grid to which I then have to subtract some dowels and then print it in 3d, decorate it in a box, place the dowels and send it. the problem is that once you create the grid sketch I have no idea how to extrude it or thicken the lines creating the solid. I hope I've been clear. If I can access the business pc, I attach the catpart to try to make you understand better. thanks to all for help and good work!

You have a different version and I can't open it.

even sends a sketch image.

usually create the grid sketch, then when you extrude the prism signals that it contains open profiles, you select it anyway and in the parameters select "thick" at that point insert thickness 1 and thickness 2 (compared to the line) or neutral fiber.

Let me know.

You want to do this? ?

If you... copy the grid sketch, build the outside rectangle, and on a sketch make all those of a diagonal constructive and on the other the others then extrude them giving a thickness ........ always be what you wanted

Thanks a lot, guys. At the end I managed to do it as it was to say "female". i.e. first I modified the sketch leaving only the diagonal lines in one direction, I then extruded them as z surfaces and then these surfaces offset them from both sides, closed above and below and from I recovered the solid. to have the grid finally mirrored the solid. Now that I read your messages, I think I'm pretty dumb as a procedure, but in the end I managed to create solid. Surely Monday I will try with the methods you gave me. you were super, I keep you updated.

If you feel what I told you... directly extrude the lines and you can in the same command give a thickness............. without moving from the surfaces.
cmq is good also what you have done, the important thing is to get to purpose.
