Good evening,

from a 3d model I would like to create sections to edit then with other elements to draw in 2 dimesions. I have not yet understood how glossy design, presentation and views work, and what types of changes can be made on each of them. I would point out that it is for the moment of a revision, and it is important that it is able, for now, to obtain a volumetric of the uplift of the "contorn" of my project, that for now I will hand sketch on a4.

thank you so much to all (i.e. to lory.b) for the answers that will help me to discover this other aspect of this interesting and complete cad for the environment mac that nothing has to envy to the violent market laws that autodeskizzano the knowledge and creativity of us designers.

that strength be with you

the sections you get with the create viewport section is just a window on the drawing layers that allows you to view the section you have determined; but you can't change it.
instead there is a command called cut 3d view/set section 3d that creates a editable section on a new layer. If you don't find it try editing your schema and between the commands you should find out. At least, in the international version they thought well not to put it active in the workspaces and so I went to activate it.
I do.

I tried to do it but it creates a completely white gloss... In the sense that I see a white rectangle and there's nothing inside. the command is called "set section 3d" and does exactly what you said. .

design glosses are those on which designs (to design=design)
the glossy presentation (sheet layers) are those in which you create the viewports for the sole purpose of going in print with a well-made layout; square and cartilage insert them in this layer, also wanting annotations. you can have more viewports in these shiny presentations.
The views you need to save a particularly useful situation to you. put the case that you turned off a tot of classes/categories and layers and changed type of view, maybe some are gray and zoomed on a particular. you save this view and call it back every time you need, without having to go redesign or move or change other types of display options
mh... I wasn't very technical, but I still hope I made myself understand... :
I do.
