3d studio max design 2013 - not compatible

Hello, everyone. I have a problem that I can't find a solution.
my operating system is windows 7 enterprise 64 bit.
I just downloaded the student version of 3d studio max design 64 bit. When I launch the software installation, this message appears to me:

"the version of the file is not compatible with the version of windows running. check the computer system information and check whether the x86 (32bit) or x64 (64 bit) version of the program is required, then contact the conftware distributor".

the operating system is certainly 64 bit. I just uninstalled 3d studio 2013 x64 that worked well just to install 3d studio max design, since I would like to interact with revit 2013.

after uninstalling 3d studio max 2013 I made the correction of the logs, the cleaning of the computer and I restarted.

Do you have any advice? thanks in advance

hi edo, at this point I'd think you downloaded the wrong 32-bit version...

edit: why don't you do a good thing: download the 2014 versions; 3ds max design 2014 should not exist more than 32 bits

I'm not wrong. the downloaded version is 64 bit, also reported in the name of the installation file.

if I unload the 2014 version of 3ds max design do you think it gives problems with revit 2013 or are still compatible?

in ordinary situations I would install all 2014 software and closed the problem (maybe!) only that in a couple of weeks I have to deliver all the work and now I'm a bit distrustful since all my work is done on revit 2013. I don't want to mess up

ps: Of course it is quite strange. I have this pc with this operating system for years. always installed 64bit software, never a problem, and now... boh
