a layer idw

Good morning I wanted to understand how to assign a layer to change color to its insertion, for example to the symbol of roughness in marniera not to change anything else.
I made the path through style editors changing the color to the layer where the symbol of roughness is located.
Specifically in the image there are a symbol of roughness of a color that is under the symbol layer, but that also changes the writing of the section.
I don't know if I have to handle it as I think with a specific layer (which I can't assign) or there's a different way.

Hi.
as you have intuited the layer to which the wrinkle symbol points and what other objects also point (including the text section). If you change that layer you will find the color modified in all the objects that lean on that layer. to change the layer color you will definitely go to "modification layer" (which is a part of "editor styles").
in that same section find the "new..." button. At that point you can create all the layers you want and whatever you want.
now you will find the new layer selectable and assignable in the format tab. being a new layer no other object will point to him and then you can only change what interests you.
n.b.1: If you want this change (in this case the color of the wrinkle symbol) to apply automatically on all wrinkle symbols of the document you will have to go to set the new layer in the default object settings
n.b2.: if you want it to become a permanent change
- or do all this work directly in the template
- or, at the end, go to "Save Style Changes" and then open the template and click "Update" (so the template incorporates the changes saved in the style library)
if you want to apply it to old idw, you will need to open them and click updated (so old idw will receive the news saved in the template)

p.s.: in my opinion this is the least intuitive section of all. but it is also true that once learned it allows you to automatism and crazy flexibility.
