hi to everyone, maybe it's not the most indicated tread but if you can give me two straights to solve this problem.
I upgraded my location by buying a new pc so assembled.
i7 3ghz processor, 12gb ram picture video card 2000 system 7 64bit.
updated all the drivers remain this anomalous to me, I select two edges or two surfaces in a part or in an axis when I go to rotate the component or the assiemato everything freezes and moves only a small area of the eggetto. then after about 20 sec everything is reassessed, however, becoming rognosed for the continuous succession of the "coffee jelly" that sw takes.
I thought it was a video card problem but is it among those certified and drivers are the ones downloaded and updated, do they need drivers or configurations?
Can it be a ram problem?
if you have also found the problem you might try to give me a possible solution.
Thank you.

But if you don't tell us what version, which sp and which driver you use....it becomes difficult to help you correctly. Right?

I downloaded the patch as recommended on another post, and the thing improved considerably however it is not resolved, in the sense that the dead times have dropped but the windows still appear.

installed I sp0 2010 and the following driver release 8.17.12.5929

Hello, everyone.
I would also have a similar problem on a post with solidworks 2010 sp. 1.0 and a picture card fx 1700.
processor core duo e8400 3.00ghz with view 64 bit and 6gb ram.
the selection window appears after selecting a face or assembly, a particular from the main tree.
the size and location of the pane is never constant but all times different.
is there also a patch for this hardware configuration that can improve this situation?

Thank you.

first of all updated to sp4 or sp5 if it was released and then conformed to the drivers that the solidworks tested for your video card.

I downloaded and installed certified drivers, 259.57 for 2000 seven 64 bit framework and solidworks 2010 I also downloaded and installed the patch for the picture but the problem is not solved in fact depending on the complexity of the elements it makes me drop the chain!
other things I could do?
Thank you.

I tried to test 3 different video cards: framework 2000, geforce 8400, ati 5760 all on the same machine to one with unfortunately the same type of problem.
is there a compatibility problem between seven 64 and sw 2010 sp0?
Thank you.

even me com win7 64 and framework3800 creates those rectangled "artefacts" that block the program for a few seconds or until you rebuild.
But I noticed something: It only does it by accessing it as a user (which should be the norm working at the stations), while by admin it turns everything to perfection. .
I had already in mind to format and reinstall everything "as you must" but here in the company I have to wait for the network operator. in the xp-win7 change it seems to me to have combined other "casini"; I no longer have a free and open user as before. I have no right/privilege and can no longer install or update anything. system files have precluded me and in swx I can no longer change anything of my initiative.. if not logging just as admin.
all this since the new workstations have been networking, first with xp my user did "everything I wanted".

greetings
Marco:smile:

thanks marco for the tip, creating the admin on 7 and working the problem seems to be resolved!!! :-)
remains the fact that being in a company network I have to enter with my user. the question that comes to ask me if you can answer me, should I try to replicate all the admin rights on my user, or just the "user" conditions in a corporate domain context create the problem?

your network administrator can enable your user's usage status as
"administrator."
will configure him various access privileges independently from administrators
or user with limitation. (certain, it depends on the amount of folders to manage but you can do, so there are "groups". )

hello to all I also have this problem of abnormal panes, are the descriptions of the functions.
I managed to bypass this problem by excluding system options, display/selection, check (dynamic highlighting from graphic view).
I have a workstation z400, sw 2010 sp 5.0, operating system w7 64, video card nvidia fx3500, in addition to the problem of the frames, I appear the screen all black and this involves the turn off if I want to resume working. It's not an occasional thing but quite frequent, especially if I load an axieme with several components. I went to the sw site, but certified drivers for my fx 3500 card did not find it.
Can you help me? Thank you

I have tried these 2 drivers and other possible solutions that the sw site can give, but nothing to do, have the same problem, all black screen and when step above with the mouse highlights the edges of the axieme, leaving a web of red lines.
I wanted to see if there were other drivers but certificates with z400 sw2010 w7x64 I can't find them. .

thank you 1000 and good evening.

but disabling this tick quote at the table is terrible! Can you work on it anyway?

you're right, but I'm on top of the mouse and it's not very wrong, the maximum repeats one-two times the altitude, always better than the breaks that generate abnormal rectangles.
