Good morning there is someone who can give me an opinion on the animation module of creo direct advanced design ? the intention in the technical office is to buy it but it is necessary to give good reasons to the owner.

I propose this form I meant.I think that in some cases there can be useful.and the parametric part makes sense its use?

we have taken it only for the part that understands the use of constraints. In my opinion, it is a little tricky and little intuitive to use constraints.
However, in some particularly complex movements, it is worth losing a few hours to bind the parties. for the animation side I could see during meetings that you can do discreet work. everything is what you have to do then create animations. In our case we had to create videos for disassembly instructions and replacement of some components but instead of this module we used configurations with a program that films the screen. we made this choice because it was a very special request. in the future if it happens again we will try to find something more suitable.
As far as I know the correct work would be that the animations created them in the manual office with dedicated software always ptc so as to be able to keep everything tied to the mechanical distinction and if one tomorrow there was need to make revisions also the whole part created with the other ptc software would update accordingly. (it is not our case) returning to the form, in our office for the annual cost that has a license according to me is worth it. we are in 16 and we have a fleeting license and it is enough and advances.not all but they make challenging design.

It costs 1200 a year if I do not, but the license is fleeting, it is not necessary to have it on all the stations, so you can have one or two out of ten, to whom the use is used and then leaves it free to others, and this represents a minimum expense.

advanced design is useful if you have to make movements with cylinders etc and not simple translations because thanks to the "dynamic interference" command shows you during the movement of a machine the various interference that meets on the way, finally from the graphic point of view allows you to make videos for presentations etc.

can also be used as a normal component assembly aid by imposing constraints and you can have within a single set more movements or fittings with constraints and activating one or the other depending on the exingency (you can set variables with boolean functions, if then else, verification parameters etc), finally together with the advanced assembly module is given also the parametrics module that allows you to deform objects according to parameters.
