Can you tell me where I'm wrong with this conversion?
I have a maximum flender moment of mmax=250 t*m (tonnes per meter)
As I have to find flexional stress at the bottom and on the deck of the ship, I have that:
sigma,f=mmax/wf ---> sigma,fondo= max time/ resistance module at the bottom
I have to carry:
the moment from t*m to n*mm
the wf from cm3 to mm3 (I did this by multiplying by 1000)
wf=280537,378 cm3 = 280537378 mm3
for the maximum moment I did so (only that apparently it is wrong because I am not corrected the final verification)
(250 t*m)
(1000)=250'000'000 kg*mm -->
(250'000'000 kg*mm)*(9,81m/s2)= 2452500 n*mm

while you should come older! !
therefore there will be errors in the units of measurement
