the recent news for this cad require some line of explanation and to this end I kindly ask hospitality in this forum to give some clarification.
after the geomagic design parentheses, this cad returns to the first name of baptism with the birth of the alibre, American llc; the original development team, which was partially confluent in 3dsystems, has recomposed itself in order to continue the evolution of this cad.
the new product joint provides the alibre expert level, equivalent to geomagic design, perfectly and totally compatible with the latest version of the cad developed by 3dsystems and of which it constitutes the evolution for maintenance customers.
In addition, the lower level of professional alibre is introduced for those who, taking advantage of a small list almost half, can at the moment renounce development of sheet metal and advanced import/export features, however addable in a second time.
available from July, alibre 2017 is offered free of charge to all users in active maintenance geomagic design, and one tantum also to users with expired maintenance as long as fired to the latest version 2015.1.1 of geomagic design released on October 1, 2015. Three license levels are available to meet every need, from the company user who wants to have the license park available in rotation on all workstations, to the single professional user who asks to be able to use the cad on different computers with licenses managed automatically via the internet, to the offline user who wants to be able to always and anyway use the purchased cad without any hardware key or internet connections to be authorized to use.

the integrated cam solution in 2017 cad alibre is already available in five levels developed by mecsoft, the first of which is free and timeless.

PCb integration for alibre 2017 is already available with the eda solution.
simwise motion for alibre
the product of dynamics for geomagic kinetodynamics is renamed simwisemotion for alibre.
all maintenance users with dynamics for geomagic on 1 July 2017 get a free update to simwise motion to alibre when they communicate to study list srl the switch from geomagic design to cad alibre 2017.
if at the subsequent maintenance deadline such users choose not to renew maintenance, simwise will no longer be updated, but will maintain the latest version available at the end of maintenance.
remember that simwise motion for alibre is the reduced version of simwise motion (www.simwise4d.it), without the other interfaces cad and the optimization engine. simwise motion is the single version of the simwise 4d program that, thanks to the fem part (simwise fea), also allows to integrate fem analysis during kinetodynamic simulation.
2017 cad alibre users can now also have simwise fea for alibre and simwise 4d for alibre solutions.
