Hi.
I have to animate in 3ds max 2011 a gear that makes about 20 turns. to make him take a ride I created the 30 frame key and made him do 180, then at 60 frame I made him do the other 180 degrees. I don't think I have to go on like this. I'm sure there will be a better way with the controllers, but I have no idea how to use them.
p.s. then can I copy this animation and assign it to another piece?

Thank you.

I know that there is the method to set an object an infinite rotation, but if the rotation during the video does not undergo change I can recover it. if I'm not mistaken there's something in pre-installed tutorials

It's very simple... .
1 set the keys to 25fps!!!otherwise is not the line with the pal format also suitable for TV. 25fps are given me as taxation for the realization of the videos of my customers, both tv and dvd

2 activate the key frame that inserts the keys alone and then you do the account...you know that a second is 25 render and that a turn is 360° from here becomes simple...if you need it from 10 seconds ,for example, activate the auto key, to the key 0 and then take it to 250 at this point select the object, and impose the rotation, if you have to do 5 turns in 250 frames, you make it do 360 x 5 times.
I summarized a bit, but if you have problems do not hesitate to contact me.

thanks, what you say is graph editor/track view curve editor/controller/out of range type and it actually works. if you have to block at some point you could also use it always in the track view editor/utilities/track view utilities/create out of range keys, so you can actually create the keys and then maybe delete the ones you don't need. but it doesn't work well, I get high on animation ^_^ .

Hi.
I arrived after a while, the only shortness and this:
0 frames 0 degrees of rotation
90 frames -360 degree of rotation but click absolute mode transform type-in before -360 or it does not move.
I tried to make 500 frames and rotation -1,800.000 and makes me 5000 turns

Now I have the only doubt, after I have animated this object, can I somehow copy the keys or however to sharpen the same animation to another piece? Of course I talk about relative animation and not absolute if not the object overlaps me!

ciauz and thanks

In principle you can save the animation curves and copy them, as you do to bounce a ball with the same bounce on a floor.
in max tutorials you should find this animation I told you about, I think I can help you..ciao
