Hello everyone! I am a mechanical engineering student struggling with the study of mechanics applied to machines.
I look for a software with which to simulate in 2d the most common mechanisms (dialatero articulato, guide of fairbarn, etc.) and where it is possible to make an animation, for example to animate an articulated quadrilateral and to obtain the trend of a solid point to the crank.
I will then use the software to do exercises assigned by the professor.

thanks in advance :-)

Bye. at university times I used a program written by prof. innocent, artic (you find it) qui), it has its own educational purpose and I think it should be your case. it is not immediate, but precisely because teaching you have to reason for a moment on its operation

However many cads have the possibility to animate in 2d. I use solid edge, and in the st7 you can do, but not trace the trajectories, you have to reconstruct them by hand

thanks to both:-)
I tried the sam and it looks like the appropriate software, the only problem is that the trial version has some limitations.

artic:
I downloaded the software but it is too dated for windows10. sin because from the introduction of the innocent professor seemed a very good tool in the study phase. I will look for a pc with windows xp to try it :-)

Just make a virtual machine with virtual box, install xp and try it. Sounds interesting.
