apply torque moment

hello to all

I just started using solidworks simulation.
My problem is trivial:
I cannot properly use the command that allows to add a torque moment as an external load.
select the external load command --> twist, click on the cylindrical surface of a shaft end, insert the value in nm but in confirming it asks me to "select a reference axis or a cylindrical face to apply the torsion"

Where am I wrong?

hi thegio, it would be good thing:

1) read the forum rules
2) read the documentation available before asking for help (the swx help)
3) If you stop above with the mouse at the selection boxes you can read the tips

in your specific case you are putting a torque moment on a circular surface, as if it were a forcing face from a circular contact (see clutch discs). Watch what you do and where you apply. the hand-made single-dimensional and the 3d there is some trick to keep in mind.

However, in the first selection the circular face, in the second edge of the circle. remember always to define a surface and direction with a normal or tangent to the path.
