In some cases I create empty files, I insert them into the axieme and from there I begin to do what I owe.
question, can I create a plan on the part I'm creating referring to another solid? If you can't do it?

try using the "copy in the part" command, including in the new part the surfaces of the reference one. made this, you can use the new surface so created as a reference for later geometries.

I understand that this is not a very agile method than the question you do, but at the moment I can't think of anything else.
