hello to all, I wanted to put a question about modeling.

I am working for a customer who uses osd, to which I provide models the steps and tables in dwg.

My solidedge models have all the properties' compiled (material, rough size, surface treatment, code, description, etc.), but obviously do not survive export in step.

If I gave my client an excel file with these properties, then would there be a convenient way to insert them into the individual parts of the project once imported into modeling? We consider that each project can have hundreds of codes to handle, so it would serve something semi or totally automatic.

Bye.

No, to me it turns out that you can't do it with the traditional modeling. You may be able to find yourself if you have a database that manages the separate but I don't know.

ok I inform me, they actually have an internal pdm.

Why don't you buy modeling so you and the lens have the same system?
no come on, there's a limit to everything!!!!!! I have always very tight delivery times, so I need to work with an efficient cad!!!

apart from the jokes, I have to have a limit but with modeling I find myself very bad, I make a damn hard work. I probably have been working with sketches and driving quotas for too many years and I have no desire to learn something different, besides the fact that if I have to pay the assistance for every cad used by the various customers I end up working only for them.

I imagined from the discussions in recent years that I had not a very "friendly" relationship with modeling....
However by now having the thought parameterized, you would do more toil than others to learn, but it is worth it... Of course, some self-taught evidence only creates you more confusion, you should know how you use solidedge today to have a truthful idea of what you're doing with the mythical osd and productivity.... let's leave it, we're on another planet, I'm just telling you that if everyone had modeling there would be less jobs, so maybe it's better so
