to me neither on plotter nor on printer is ever successful but the following solutions come to mind, of course starting from the assumption that the design is perfectly reported in autocad and that the error found is measuring the cad design with final print of the latter:
- template molds or layouts? in the second case it is possible that the view window is not in the correct scale;
- at the time of printing remove the flag to be adjusted to the page and put the desired scale. ;
- check that the view is not rotated compared to one of the 3 axes x, y, z;
- clean and recalibrate the printer or maybe update the drivers but if you don't have any problems on other designs probably this point is not what gives you the error in paper return.

thanks for the attention but the problem simplifying is this. on the design model a segment 24 solid I go on layout then on model I go on zoom scale, for example 10xp, back to paper and mold (on the layout window I have the correct printer and print area layout scale 1:1 ) but in print it becomes then about 23,8 cm!!!!

I also had this problem, I solved by installing the printer drivers provided by the manufacturer and eliminating those installed automatically from windows.

I printed hundreds of autocad designs, never found this problem. Do you have a way to try on a different printer? or print in pdf and then start the pdf to the printer...so, for curiosity.

same file brought to school, with hp laserjet printer, lower level of mine, are respected the size in print. having excluded problems with printer drivers as indicated by hp I think there is some problem in the settings on my autocad 2023 in print but what? boh.

for personal experience I don't trust the "hp techniques". usually have no experience/competence with autocad

take the acad file and print it from you -> out of scale
take the same file and print it elsewhere -> correct print.
What changed between the two cases? in my opinion the printer... ergo, driver/calibration issues
never had these problems with printers, but you've ever seen...

or (but I could say a mooring), check if you don't have automatic reduction settings in the printer settings to the print area size (in which case you send an a4, the printer lets you enter the whole print area in its a4, which is notoriously smaller given the print margins)
