The gate is old, I have nothing about it... I'm standardizing it and yesterday I spoke to a company that deals with it.
the manager told me that the machine directive imposes every 6 months maintenance. Having read it over and over again, since I work there, the thing didn't seem to me and this morning I reveled. as I recalled it speaks of maintenance imposed by the manufacturer, but does not specify mandatory deadlines for certain types of product.

the technical norm en13241-1 does not mention periods imposed on maintenance/control. always sends back to the manufacturer's manual.
So what he told you is wrong:
1. the machine directive (in agreement with the directive) does not say that gates must be maintained and controlled every 6 months (the directive is generic)
2. the technical norm (I only looked at that quoted but there are others) does not require special tax checks.

Express your doubt and tell him that or mention the source or it is better that you study the product norms!
On the other hand, well-known gate builders still miss the declarations of conformity, so I am not surprised!! !

Since I am not an expert on gates but the laws I can read I am looking for a company that proves to me to be competent to do all the work without, as in this case, having to explain to him things (by the way, he had to send me everything in a few hours but still silence...
