Bye to all,
I write to you as I would like to "automate" a boring phase of my work.
I find all the days to print distinct and drawings in pdf and .slddrw files that have various a4, a3 formats (using the classic printer) and a2,a1, a0 using the plotter.
exists a possibility to create a macro reading a code and possibly the sheet format from an excel table or directly from the file properties (which will have the same code name) opens it and print in the format indicated in the table?
all automatically?
How could I share the problem?
thanks to who will help me
Edoardo

We must develop an application, a macro seems insufficient. I do what you write using the pdm, with the possibility to add a stamp in the printing phase and it is actually very convenient.

I have been performing batch prints optimized for at least 15 years, I have tried with macro, stand alone applications (exe) and addin (dll).
the best and fast way is to create an addin, with graphical interface where you can upload or drag your files. from here imposed for each format the target printer (in your case a4-a3) and the a2-a1-a0 formats are automatically optimized in a3.
If you want you can contact me in private, the web is not located.

Hi.
printing management is one of the functions of ready2works, the pdm I use. I don't know if the other commercial pdms have the same chances.
