automatic quotation creation in the tables

Good evening,
I am new to the forum and unexperienced with solid works I would like to give
the function of putting into the table of simple rectangled or trapetidal plates with vased holes.
such drawings I would import them from the format igs I have previously created for each plate.
with solidworks I can import the elements but the problem intervenes when I go to create a 2d technical table and I ask sw to carry out quotations from the model (automatic quotations of the views created by the model). vice versa if the construction of the solid takes place from scratch using sw such quotations are carried out vice versa with an igs model imported this does not happen. Why?

The odds you see in the 2d are simply the transposition of the quotas you used to create the sketches in the 3d. If the 3d is an imported solid, and therefore without sketches/features, there is nothing to import.

p.s. but why do you go through the iges instead of modeling the parts directly in swx?
