Good morning, it is my first message in the forum and I hope I have not unpacked section.
I find myself having to enter altitudes on a section of a building. I'm working on a 2d file.
Is there a way to put the quotas automatically by defining a reference quota?
I make an example:
I have the foundation plan at 835 m, then the first floor at 840 and so on until 15th.
I define the reference plan at an altitude of 835 m and automatically clicking on the other points put all odds.
thank you very much for help and good day to all

quota base line command dimlbase
insert the first quota normally then launch the command and select the previous quota put

thank you for the answer,
but I can use your command, i.e. I can quote it more easily, but I can't put the classic triangle next to the absolute height of the quota.

there is no automatic method in autocad to do what you ask. try to search on the net if someone has created a special lisp, otherwise go of coleman method

I think you can't use the command... That's not a quota.
creates a block of the triangle with inside the text.
Now you have two roads:
1 insert an attribute that you turn by hand
2 insert an attribute that you will connect through the data field to the y position of the block. this will change, after regeneration, reporting its value compared to 0 y of the sheet.

comments on the two solutions
1 has the advantage of complete freedom but the disadvantage that must be edited time by time
2 has the advantage that is automated then placing it at the height of 450 will faithfully bring the value. the disadvantage is that the design must be made by drawing the brochures always starting from the y0 sheet (if drawing a scale starting from 1 meter I will have to draw it starting from y +1000) so it could be a problem if you draw details near the main views. Every time you need to regenerate the design because the value fits the new position.

in both cases it takes a minimum of knowledge of the blocks.
You could find other solutions like lisp or other around the forum, but I'm not an architect and I only know these two methods.

arten had this command (in lisp) more than 20 years ago! still today useful and sunny things of the past are not easily found, who knows why?

thanks to all, it seems that an automatic thing does not exist... apart from the point two of massivonweizen :)
I put them by hand, or if I study.avarino finds the lisp arten I try with that.
Have a good day!

What command?
what performs the operations required by reds1900, it seems obvious to me.
in arten was self-quota.
arten's lisp was protected, maybe you could try searching on the net with "autoquota"

not so obvious
arten had this command (in lisp)
So it's a plug-in?
the arten lisp was protected
is a person/study/programmer?

I don't need it. but if you can give a link or extra indication to reds1900 you would be useful to him and future ones who will have his need

Thank you.

Hello everyone
I have a "quota-qu.lsp" file. I hope I have loaded it (I don't remember how you do it anymore).
Try to see if it works.
the file is seasoned with some instructions to withdraw the measuring unit (standard = cm)
Perhaps this is the opportunity to exemplify it and insert a factor of scale.
I also do not use the defunct function.
then to try it put it in the "support" directory and type (load "quota-qu").
Hi.
