automatic sketch orientation!!

Hello to all boys:biggrin:
I have been a catia v5 user for quite a while but for job needs dv learn nx 7.5. I would point out that the impact has not been better because, as already mentioned, I have come from 2 years of use of catia. cmq I go to the sodo. I can't find the way to automatically orientate the view on the sketch plan. as soon as I enter the sketch, it makes me select the plan but does not rotate the view automatically (as does catia to understand us!), then dv necessarily click on orient view to sketch. Is there a way to activate this automatically? but above all I ask myself: what can a sketch ever be done on a plan without orienting perpendicularly to the sketch plane? ? :confused

In the nx7.5 version the direct sketch (you will find direct sketch and sketch in task environment) has been introduced with different features in creation and editing. I am the same but different;-) in nx these things are normal. Only from version 8.5 there is the possibility to set the automatic orientation by default.
However there is always a walk around: create the sketch with the task environment or editate it with the same method.
for the last part of your question know that in nx there are things that we mortals are precluded to know. . joke of course, it is however an option that has always been activated or not.

I recently discovered that it is oriented with the shift+f8 keys inside the sketch environment, but I don't know if on version 7.5 it works. prove it

Hello staedtlerp,
in current versions (nx8.5 - nx9) go to the preferences/sketch menu and put the flag under "change view orientation".
It seems to me that this option was also present in version nx7.5 but did not put your hand on the fire .
