Good evening,
I'm facing a problem that I can't really handle.
I explain briefly.
from a laser scan I reconstructed the geometry of the model of interest.
what I need now is to create cam programs that follow the tool exactly the surface of the model. I need, however, that the various pasts are realized in constant "pass".
more precisely I need the distance between the two lines of path to be around 35 mm (say 32 to 37).
I used nx stramline variables to do this but it makes me set the number of passes not the distance between one step and the other.
Do you have any heads on this?
the software I can have is nx 5 and caia (with which I have realized the surfaces).
Perhaps it will be a trivial question, but I am approaching the world recently cam....
Thank you in advance.

in cad3d.it is appreciated a small formality that consists of a short presentation in apposita area.
also the thread title is a little anonymous and hardly traceable in a future search of the problem.
Anyway, welcome to cad3d.it.
I hope you can help a few more users than me in that field.

Has geometry been reconstructed with a reverse engineering process? have analytical surfaces, or have you generated a mesh with the scanner?
