I don't know catia, but when it happens to me in solid edge, it's because usually surfaces have been recognized not as planes or cylinders, but as generic b-spline.
The problem is usually due to a bad export from the source cad.

to initialize the recognisance of the fetures you have to impose as a point of insemination (text underlined) the volume from which to derive the features.
However be careful because from the images you are manipulating a part like a set, weight you have to review the correct release of the step.
