hello to all, when can I recommend a book based much more on practice than on theory of finite element analysis?

No. fem's books are so much theory....even if I think it would need less talk, more systematic and direct, more detailed, more practical.

in my opinion are two excellent texts.
they treat the most practical aspect (although they are software-independent) of fem analysis.
have now a few years behind and honestly I don't know if they have been updated since the fem evolutions of the last decade but remain always valid.

Good morning.
I did a research and seem to be the only ones actually going on the most practical aspect.
I am attending a nafems course where I have given some books even quite practical, the problem that are available is in the states; amazon and the various sites do not send them to Italy.
I think I buy these.

on some it tells me that it is not possible to ship them (the first and the most based on practice) , on others besides more than a month of shipment it makes them pay also the shipment at a really high cost

the petersons stress concentration factors. and 3 also exists in edition 2 and is not a book from fem but of determination efforts on geometric singularities such as carvings and assimilates.
is a book that cannot be missed for those who dimension trees.

but here do all the professors or if a person asks for information he asks for help or advice?

to buy books all over the world you can well also contact the publishing houses and send them home with payment visa, transfer or mark.
are all books from 150-200€ up to buy them at market price on the new. Surely some will be disappointing except that they will prove useless money thrown.
we were all students and who knows how we would rather photocopy of dispenses and books, especially after the first semester that we noticed that for 3 subjects it took 350€ of books never opened.... was just businnes for our teachers..... luckily they are not all so but we see not to live with the slices of salami.
the books in digital started shooting because you think some books are interesting, but then they turn out not useful....and who would reimburse us? if one considers that a book is valid....after viewing on google or other sources where they put partial publications, if they buy it....without tricks.

I didn't want to argue. I graduated 5 years ago and said sincerely I didn't have much to do with ebooks, I always preferred paper books, including for the most interesting subjects for me, I have all original books; What I wanted to do in this case.
As for booksee I repeat that I did not know it, now I saw the book and I saved the site among the favorites in case it should serve me later.

historically a reference manual is "finite method for engineers" by huebner. is from the 70s, then updated several times until the 2000s.
I always found myself well with that.
but now if you look on google books there are dozens. The basic theory has always been that since the 50s.
