hi guys, I'm performing a simple structural analysis on a rectangular quarry beam loaded on 7 areas and supported (from below) in two. loading the step and meshando, then calculix reads me just 6 surfaces (4 side and two section).

I would in practice need to apply boundary conditions as loads and forces (they would therefore be pressured at that point) only obviously on those areas. I tried in cad (catiav5) to create additional surfaces but I don't read calculix. If I add a solid part to that point the law but I'm changing the piece so I don't like it.

do you have advice on how to apply boundary conditions only on particular areas of an extended surface?

Thank you.

Mario

Hi.
You should divide the surface into the cad modeler. At that point on calculix cgx you can identify the sets on which to apply pressure.

I learned from not much to realize everything with freecad which contains the workbench fem with motor calcullix.
with the modeler in the environment part amounts the model 3d, I do a sketch with the division rows and with the Boolean operator cut cut the surface with the sketch lines.
then with the fem module I can apply the forces on the indicated areas.
