Bye to all,

I wanted to mirror the sketch in figure and before doing so I wanted to eliminate the part of circle to the left of the vertical symmetry axis. if I use the trim command on the circle eliminates it completely.

Is there a "thick line" command within the sketcher? I noticed that if I put 2 points where I highlighted and use the trim I try to delete the left semicircle but I wondered if this is the most efficient way to do as described.

thanks also only for reading the message.

the trim on a circle you can do it only if it is intersected in 2 points, otherwise everything is deleted because the initial point is equal to the final point (this also happens in other cad).
the solutions you can adopt are different, if you already know that you will have to mirror it created an arc and not a circle, or if you create a circle like in this case and then you have to divide it you can click 2 and you will open a window, here you just remove the check on complete circle at the bottom of the options, in this case it will make you an arc.

hi wall87, if I try to click 2 times on the circle opens the enclosed window but I do not find the tick to divide the circle. In any case I understand that it is more efficient to start directly with a bow and, as you said well, even in other cad is exactly what you do.

Thank you for the answer!

ciao @hope ,

1) Why mirror the sketch? so you lose sight of the size of the detail which is 266 wide and not 133x2. I don't know if I explained.
2) trim the sketches to have a 'clean' path is not necessary with nx, watch the film and observe the selection filter (connected curves + stop at intersection and follow fillet.

You anticipated me baskets! I was just about to ask if it is possible to put the quota 266 while having only half sketch but I do it in another post to leave track.

very clear video. I should not just learn the commands but also change slightly approach to modeling. nx is much more flexible and forgives much more than the cad I have always used (I don't make names not to start faide in the forum).

Thank you again!
