I was curious. ..any month ago I realized a project by changing a series of windows already present (with revit 2009). Today, I try to insert the same windows on another project, but I can't find them... Yet there are, because if I open the old design, there are and there are many others that I cannot find!!! How do I see where the old design window family is? and how do I insert it into the new?

you must upload them from the folder in which they were saved, after the change with the 2009 version

I think you only have them in the project that uses them... you will have forgotten to save them or lost families (that's why you have to make a remote archive. . ).
upload the project in which you have the families, enter into the families that interest you and save them one by one and re-build the archive...(a bit long if the families are many.. but better)
you can also open the source project, delete the whole project (in 3d you do first) on all stages, rename it (if interesting save it as a model, better).
to share them with the families already loaded. . .
...so you created a model with those families... Or not?

if you already have a semi-made project, load the project with families (already washed) as revit (secure vice versa. . ).
you should have all the families loaded....(I didn't try, but it should work)

is a great system for making furniture (Kucina model, m. living room, m.bagno), each model for specific environment with specific families.
then load everything in a single project but always intervene only specifically...and there gains in speed (discussed I let myself be carried. ...

Actually it would take a command to download families faster...from a project to the archive

-open the new project and the old project, both with the ver.2010
- positioned on the new project
- command: transfer project standar, and from the mask:elements to be copied, top, in the drop-down menu, select the old project (which contains windows)
- "windows" pops up
- confirmation
if the windows are with the same names, the program will give a warning message overwriting ...

I went into family modification but keeps giving me messages of broken constraints. I thought it was much simpler, I just need to widen the outer frame and hit 2 doors.... ! ! !
what is the exact procedure to follow to make these changes?

... unfortunately it is not so, much depends precisely on the constraints (parameters) of the object ...:wink:
