cad/cam system for accessories company

Good morning, I have a friend who manages production in a company that produces accessories for leather goods, mainly buckles and bags closures. Usually the production in large series is obtained by die casting or otherwise processing without removal of truciole, but for small series it is preferred the realization through the use of cnc milling machines.
At present the modeling of these products is entrusted to the cam operator, but it takes a lot of time to do a job not its own, so my friend asked me if I could recommend them an integrated cad/cam system suitable for its now basic needs. it has seen solid edge but it has been negatively impressed by the high cost of the integrated package, which perhaps would make it difficult to return the investment for the small series produced, so I wanted to ask someone here' on the forum if you're aware of the more economical solutions but still actually working, such as rhino or alibre or spaceclaim. He also asked me for a rendering module.. . .

I would say that the right product for these processing is artcam in pro version or better yet jewelsmith > http://www.artcam.com/excellent design module 2d/3d (for 3d we mean sculpted reliefs), the cam, perfectly integrated, really wide availability of post processors, all available to the installation, easily editable and adaptable to your needs. :smile:
