cad manager

Do any of you have this qualification? is still valid or has been replaced by other figures ? I speak of companies structured with dozens of users cad/plm. I would like to share ideas and opinions on what can be defined as responsible for the cad system and various business working methodologies.

I don't know, I work in a small reality to need a cad manager.
We are talking about the one who manages the infrastructure from both the hardware/software point of view (it has decision-making power on how much and what to buy) and from the human point of view (to understand us select the staff ). Am I wrong?
I believe that such a figure exists in multinationals with hundreds of posts.
