calculation of contouring path

Good morning to all,

I am trying to create a template with creo 8 that can return the machine path of a component.
more precisely at this time the procedure provides for the following steps:
-1 I receive the stp of the part to be realized;
-2 the amount within the template;
-3 orient the part according to the correct csys (x-y-z), within a hypothetical crude;
-4 cut in slices the model with a surface to "s" 4 mm step, I draw a curve (which represents the perimeter of contouring) of which I go to measure its length with a measuring feature;
-5 I proceed with the table, 3 views with dimensions (box).

I would be looking for a system capable of eliminating Operation 3, to be able to proceed with the automatic operation just entered the stp.

I gladly accept advice or, instructions to use the tool kit "external aid application".

Have you tried with a macro?
The toolokit you refer to is to plan.

there are macros or you have to do programming. macros record what you do with the mouse and if you have to "only" select a csys and orientate it according to the axes you can do it with the macro.

we examine two stp, with csys oriented differently to each other. are both to be oriented to the csys of the work plan.

the movements to be carried out for the first stp will therefore be different than the movements to be carried out for the second stp.
