cam advice

hello to all, as from title I would like a advice on a cam to use
Sorry but it's been in the industry since April so I don't have much experience
I have a 3-axis cnc pantograph I use to make aluminum molds
where I bought the car I took a short course on artcam 8
the program is simple to use but it is an old version and quite slow so I wanted to orientate myself on a faster program

artcam is a substantial product oriented to the production of models and creation of its tools for artistic bas-reliefs. in this specific application is a valid product (although rather expensive, and replaceable in many cases with more affordable solutions). If you don't have to make moulds, there are other valid solutions (e.g. sprutcam, visualmill) that are more suitable.

vectric aspire is a great product, simple to use. has basically all the features of artcam, but at a totally different cost.
other solutions for the artistic cam (aligned to the costs of artcam) are type3 and topographers (now quite obsolete).
a mecsoft (rhinoart) product is also available for the mecsoft (rhinoart) model.

know that you make aluminum molds is a little bit to be able to give you advice on the cam.
I can imagine that you work for the silver industry and make molds for particularly "artistic" frames. Did I guess?

I did not understand if you use artcam only to calculate the tool path or if you use it also to draw. when you say that the program you use is slow you refer to when you launch some particular function, such as the calculation of the cam finish, or do you think it is slow and Moroccan in general?

to give you a suggestion I would need some extra indication from you.
