good evening, as from title I would need a tip: in the company where I started working recently we make molds for plastic injection and I handle the processing of electrodes for electroerosion on a 3-axis mill and on general mechanical machining on another 3-axis mill. currently use topsolid as cad to generate electrodes and cng as cam to work electrodes and pieces of various kinds. my colleagues use powermill or esprit and the owner asked me an opinion about the possibility to move to worknc that would be on offer since we have been customers for several years of hexagon who developed esprit and worknc. the holder would be more than the idea of staying with topsolid and cng since it considers both excellent and probably worknc would have less capacity to design the electrodes that sometimes turn out complex enough to model. would you have some software to recommend that maybe it can perform very well both the cad and cam function? I have seen that there are hypermills and nx that have modules for electrodes but I do not know anyone who uses them so I do not know what price bands have neither their actual capacity (I read around that hypermill is not very good for electrode creation and excel in the 5 axes, which I doubt would use in the short period, while nx say is the best as cad/cam software). thank you many for the attention and forgive me for the length of the post, good evening!
