Good evening.

I should model a cam made on a pipe.
I have in dwg the horizontal development and thought to make a flat sheet shaped like the development of the cam and then to lower it as it was a fold (ho sheet metal base). It is possible to do so, I tried but it gives me a mistake even on a flat sheet.

import the dwg to a work plan. then go to the 3d line menu and use the wind command on surface. generates profile wrapping on a cylindrical surface. use the 3d line as director for the command of rotation of the free geometries menu, both to add material and to "dig" the track, if the section has a greater size than the thickness of the tube, you will cut it.
