Hello.

I apologize in advance if I have wrong section (and in that case I pray the moderators to move the 3d) but I think I go here because I think it is more a "political" issue of licenses than a matter limited to pro/m or configurations.

to make it short: In short, I should buy a small cluster (6-8 single processor nodes with 4/8 cores each, tbd) to perform fluidodynamic simulations and I was wondering if it was possible to make pro/mechanica (which scales very well on different cores) benefit me to use more complex models and in less time.

the cluster will consist of a head node that deals with fileserver and sorting accounts on the various machines using sge, connected in gigalan (perhaps ib but more in la). to this eye I connect with my laptop, on which I turn the mixes, imposed the analysis and until today I also turn them.

all will turn under linux (but of this you can talk about it. . . )

Do I need special licenses? Did someone try to do things like that? notes or particular observations?

Thank you very much

I know that pro/mechanica can use the calculation distributed on different machines, but I have never tried to do so.
you should open a call to the technical support ptc and cmq check the installation manual of pro-e.
Bye.

Thank you for the kind answer.

I will certainly, when I have the cluster in my hand I will investigate with ptc and update the thread with their answers.

Maybe you should investigate premium to buy the cluster... .
