Thank you very much:
rhino has no specific commands to build curves or surfaces from equations.
to do so you have two roads:
(1)

use excel to set the form of the catenary , generating xyz coordinates of the pass points for the curve.
then expose the coordinates to a text file, and the amounts in rhino and use the _curvethroughpt command that generates a pass curve for the selected points.

(2)

you download fathopper (a free rhino plugin) that is made specifically to create complex shapes dynamically and parametric.

here is a link from the Grasshopper site where a couple of users have developed a definition (a fathopper file) to generate points of a catenary.

But other programmes have a chance to apologize for the brutality of intervention, but it would be very useful to me to know. . .

there is a free pugin for curves and mathematical surfaces for rhino 4, math for v4But don't ask me the equation. :
Fathopper is exceptional, but complicated, it should be studied.

very useful signal, thank you. In this way I can create in rhino the profiles to be revolutionized in autocad; of course, if there were a plug-in like qst directly in autocad would be better, but so much can not always have the cracked pipe, which can fit into search for alternative solutions (...).

with regard to the non-problem formulas, there are + of one (theoretically infinite, since the possible parameters of a curve are infinite) and since it did not accept the logarithm in the 1st parameter I used a with the 1st linear parameter and the exponential in the 2nd, so much the eq of the "weighted fire" vien out uniform = .se then one not if it remembered it is enough to examine the forces inside of a
