change the front view! !

I would have a problem: I made the table of an object quite simple by choosing a front view and from it creating orthogonal views. I realized, however, for clarity in the design, that I have to change the front view, in particular I would like to change the current front view with an orthogonal view. is it possible to make an orthogonal view front?? ?

of course you want to replace it to make sure that everything you have done (related projections, section and quotations) is updated accordingly. . .

I did some evidence but I didn't find the way, at this point I imagine that replacement is not allowed

if you just hold (and it is only possible if the piece is fine to itself) you can apply a rotation to the solid: giving the updating of the drawing, the sections and the projections go behind them (of course the quotation becomes red and it is to be repeated).

I don't recommend it. I think you're in a juniper.

dx key on the view to change , object/modify projection plan and then in 3d lets you select the new view .
then the other views, if you do not automatically update, go with the right button as above but then sync the view def ................ I'm not in front of catia and I'm going to memory.

Thank you very much to both for the answers. the method proposed by mcbramby works very well, except for the fact that some views, once changed the reference must be settled in terms of quotas, but it is not a big problem:smile:

......... cmq also my solution if the dwg is complex will make you some mess with views, sections and quotas........... .

in fact, I realized for some details quite complex and full of quotas...some have been updated, others have had to remake (having rightly changed the reference:smile remake.
