I am an absolute neophyte of 3d. I have worked so far with autocad lt. I am considering buying a parametric cad program because they tell me to be terrific in the development of projects. I take care of civil and industrial construction. in particular in the architecture it is always opportune to have a visualization of what is born to avoid designing in the plant, develop a prospect and try to work only on that to correct what in the plant is little consistent with a decent prospect. I should put in materials of various kinds (stone, plaster, tiles, bricks etc.). In the end, I should also bring out a metric compute. Maybe I ask too much. They tell me a great good thing about archicad. Is there anyone who can help me choose?

Thank you. I found a lot of interesting information. it seems (at least according to some, in particular a great expert which seems to me to be gfrank) that the best choice is revit. I would like to know from someone who wants to lose us 3 minutes what has in less and/or more of allplan and archicad in the construction design (architectural, structures, composite plants, catasto, yard sign and modeling - do not demand to render photo - exemplificative for customers who ask for parting.

I think archicad is the best choice. I did some evidence with revit users and nobody managed to do what I did in the time I did it.
passing from autocad to archicad is like passing from a bicycle to a bike...
