Hello everyone, sorry if I disturb you for something I bet you must have a really trivial solution, but I'm going crazy and maybe the nervousness of the moment makes me blind.. .
I have a solid body, built by extrusion of a flat sketch, then on another plane design the axis that I want to use as a rotation axis, then click on circular repetition, select the axis, select the solid body, and me rotate it compared to a different axis! ok I realized that it rotates the body compared to a axis parallel to what I designed but lying on the sketch plane, which is from the plan on which I drew the axis regarding which I wanted to happen the repetition, as far as the axis drawn from the extruded sketch plane, but if also there was nothing strange in what happens, what difficulties would there be from the mathematical point of view to use any axis?
I realize that we understand little : to attach an image so that you can better understand what the question is.
illuminate me please, possibly without the help of fuels.

by premitting that I am new to solidworks, it seems to me that your error does not give it, but I use 2010, can this be the problem?

I am also using the 2010 version unfortunately. but I don't think it's a mistake, I'm definitely not using the function for how it was designed, of course I have obvious to the problem, but I had to make too many changes, and I wonder if it's really so user friendly this solidworks as they told me at the drawing course. Sometimes it really takes the bleed nerves...

I do as you say and make the right repeat according to the right axis. try posting the file and see.

It starts to scare me, I thought changing the sketch plan would solve the problem, at least to move on, but it does really his head!!!

I'm telling you that if the squirt of the circle moves him out of the origin, everything works, but I don't know why!

No, no, no, no.

if instead you put the passing axis to the origin and the sketch you do it out the repetition works (perhaps ^_^ )

I'd say you got a bug. I've still got it fast, creating an axis on the sketch line (see example). the axis and the line are in the same direction but strangely the result is different.
I'd say it's a new entry in 2010.

Wow I caught a bug! I feel like a hero!!!

So it happens to you if I understand, okay, thanks for psychological support :d

re now I try as you have advised me, I do not sing yet victory because it can always happen that on my pc shoots more bugs than on that of others seen my renowned faculty to find bugs of all systems with which I interact, computer or real that they are.

so bad thanks for taking the cause to heart!!!

edit: okok using an axis in place of a sketch works, less bad!! !
Thanks again.

I'd say it's a new entry in 2010.
Maybe it's not that new. .
I tried with 2009 (I had never happened before) and the defect is the same; does not work with sketch lines but only with as real.
using a wheel/return sketch only "parallelly" on the backing plane of the father body, taking care of the inclination of the sketch line.

Frankly I don't understand, I've always been using sketch lines for repetitions and never happened before.
regarding having found a bug... there is no need to feel heroes, but only protagonists of everyday events!

:mixed:...with a hero swx you become when a whole project does not find a bug
For the record, I've never become a hero in two years. . :frown:
does not confuse bugs with limits, of the program (which obviously has, cannot "do everything") or user.

greetings
Marco:smile:
