Good morning to all,
I would need help with the autodesk civil 3d software.
I press that I am a user who until now has used civildesign (digicorp) for the design of railway tracks.

what I would need most is: designed a planimetric layout, a altimetric profile and a cross section, it is possible to know the planimetric distance and the difference in altitude between a series of topographic points located next to the track and a rail?

with civil design how would you do it?

menu "trailing track control" and then "double track"
at this point select the axis of the track and the profile associated with it, finally select all the points of which I want to know distance and difference in level. the problem is that civil design only provides these two greatties:
1- distance between the point and the nearest rail
2- difference between point and low rail.

However, it can happen that it is more important, during the execution phase, to know the difference in altitude between the point and the high rail (depending on the layout of the topographies)

Moreover civil design does not allow to calculate the elevation by turning on the axis of the track (typical in metro) or on the high rail.
