clarification function utility insert geometric group

Hello, everyone, can anyone tell me what a geometric group is for? ...know please give me an example, or tell me what procedure should I follow to use this function? What difference is there between insert > geometric group and insert > geometric group ordered?

a geometric group is a container that serves to group entities e.g. lines, circles, surfaces etc., except solids that are contained in partbody; a geometric group is like the set of catia v4.
If for example you have a mold consisting of punch, matrix, primer you can make three geometric groups that you will call for example as the 3 parts that compose it and within them insert and operate on the surfaces of the component that interests you, perhaps hiding the other groups that do not interest you.
the ordered geometric group is like the geometric group only that has a "history" a little as it happens in the partbody.... to tell the truth I never used it....so I can not describe it more accurately.
In summary, a geometric group can be thought as a layer, which contains entities within it.

presence in your file of a geometric group can also depend on the design method you have active in your system
1- non-hybrid modalida
2- hybrid mode
(see tools\options\infrastructure\part infrastructure table "document" field "hybrid modeling".

the first inserts a gg each time you trace a wire frame geometry, so this type of geometry is always visible regardless of the order with which it is created.
the second does not need gg but orders wire-frame and solid objects within the body or partbody container in use at that time.

ggs are normally used when dealing with surfaces, and allow you to give a chronological order to the set of objects that you are modeling, or even only simplemnte to understand perhaps what are the input surfaces of a given job and what those of output.
the ggo is always a days as said tiv whose elements are sorted in the sequancy of creation, with the peculiarity that can be converted in a second moment from ggo to gg so you lose the particularity of chronological order.
However, conversion cannot go back.

hi and thanks to both for the answers, when I insert a gg asks me to enter a name, after which I do not know how to copy inside for example points lines and plans that served me during the modeling....I tried with size to then paste them into the gg but, tells me that it is not possible to paste how should I do to copy the entities?

you can't move them because you need to check the settings under tools -> ...

also verify the color of the toothed wheel symbol of the main body: green, yellow or gray. each color is an indicator of the various settings made. I talked about it in the forum. If you are looking for you should find

select one or more entities you need to transfer;
do button dx above one of them, the object (last voice ) choose changes "geographic group"

This happens because you have too many entities inside the catpart and so you can no longer insert other features.
This often happens when turning the catproduct into catpart.

If I have not misunderstood the question of morach, and symphony responses, I would like to specify the following:

1st clarification: the amount of entity does not affect the "red z", which is instead defined by the deactivation of the chronology.
2nd clarification: when turning a catproduct into catpart, the shooter always happens (and not often... )

In fact, more than a red zeta, I think it represents a sack or lightning, which breaks all the ties of the entity indicating that this is shot.

or to disable the chronology and work explicitly or shootmetrically (which you want), you have to click on the icon below which represents lightning on the tree (i.e. insert reference icon, which becomes orange)

with a click remains unactive only for a features
with double click always remains disable
with another click you reactivate the history
