If I may want clarification, to dimensional a steel tray cover use, what parameters are used according to light to the supports and the useful load/port to be applied? Is there an empirical method for small roofs that use blacksmiths like a preloaded armored beam?

the traliccio for cover use, as for other applications is regulated by eurocode 3 uni en 1993-1 and following, as well as ntc 2017.
There is nothing empirical. adequate checks are required for the load of wind and snow and of all that provided by regulations.
then if you want to build a random tray, you answer it, especially if you hurt someone. you can't improvise designers.
