hello guys I have to work on the bases of a motor, I have cast iron casting with an overmetal about 5mm, could someone give me advice how to start milling? I never had experiences with merging crude... thank you in advance

What work do you have to do? as you are equipped in machine, programming, etc.
I can tell you that the cast iron is working well does not have particular criticism.
