did someone try if osm works on a virtual machine under mac, using software like paralles or wmware?

to work, however it is highly not recommended, not to ask me why, I know only that from us in the company are fixed with the mac yet they are "forced" to make us use the pcs just for the use of the cad.

every 3d cad in virtualization is slow, open gl is not 100% optimized, in dual boot another issue, it is like a normal pc.

because modeling is not distributed in a suitable version to turn on osx. then to use it in osx environment you have to use an emulator of windows, inside which to turn modeling. clearly this procedure generates a decay of performance compared to using directly a pc with windows.Thanks for the answer. but now you have intrigued me and I am forced to ask you why it is unnotable. you have to investigate......... not only for me but also for other users. too long to explain why. synthesizing is for the use I do traveling for work, where necessary to have osm, me10 and pdm. and for the practical operation of these sw you need a screen from 17, where mac offers above all advantages of weight and battery life. and traveling, mac from 10 to 0 to win for stability, practicality, battery life, power size, etc and I stop because the list can be extremely long and painful for win. in the office today instead we use only win as before you used unix for these applications.

use it in dual bootcamp, maybe putting a solid hd instead of what you have, you will see the difference in reboot, and also performance. from 120 giga you find it at 150 euro, and what remains you put it in a 15 euro box and use it as external hd for data.
